Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to develop new skills and confidence while giving something back to the community.

We provide a wide variety of opportunities to meet a range of personal objectives. For instance you may want to volunteer to:

  • gain employment experience to help you into work
  • demonstrate your skills to help you back into work
  • help others in your spare time.

Whatever your goal we work hard to help you achieve it. To get you off to a good start we provide a thorough induction process. Then when you are working with us we invite you to take part in our staff training.

Corporate volunteering

As well as individuals we encourage groups of corporate volunteers. Companies increasingly recognise the value of corporate social responsibility and the contribution staff volunteering makes. The benefits for companies and their staff can include:

  • the development of new skills
  • improved morale
  • enhanced corporate reputation.

Becoming a volunteer

Take a look at our projects and think about which you would most like to help with. When you are ready we need you to send us a completed volunteer application form.

All volunteers are entitled to reimbursement of travel and meal expenses. Please note we will need to complete a Criminal Records Bureau check. If you have any question about volunteering contact Beth Stoneham:
