Vision 21 Summer Scheme 2008

Vision 21 is pleased to announce that our successful Summer Scheme is back for 2008 thanks to funding from the Equitable Charitable Trust and BBC Children in Need.

We will be offering 40 places for young people aged between 14 and 21 years of age who have borderline learning difficulties (although we will consider others) and we are particularly targeting those students who have not accessed Vision 21's projects or services before.  Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

We are holding an Open Day on Friday 20th June 2008 specifically aimed at those people who have not been to Vision 21 before - please call 029 20621194 for more details.

Summer Scheme participants will be offered 5 days (one day per week over 5 weeks) in one project of their choice.  The projects on offer are:  Woodwork, Catering, Horticulture, Pottery, Retail and Crafts, Training and Mentoring and ICT.


The Summer Scheme will be running from 28th July to 29th August 2008.Free taxi transport is also included in the Scheme and all particpants will receive a Summer Scheme diary at the end of their placement as proof of their achievements.
