A new innovative new build development in Leckwith.
Local Cardiff charity Vision 21 (Cyfle Cymru) is building an exciting new community resource facility on a 2.2 acre brownfield site in the heart of the Leckwith area of Cardiff overlooking the allotments, close to ‘Leckwith Stadium’ & next to the new ‘House of Sport’.
This innovative new build development will be run as a social enterprise and one of its core aims will be to provide quality training opportunities for people with learning disabilities. The flexible space will house a community café, with a strong focus on promoting healthy eating and local food, a fair-trade gift shop, a multi-use community hall facility, cost effective rentable space for training events and a community allotment area.
We want to build a strong sense of community involvement in which local groups and individuals can use the facilities and opportunities that the Field project will provide to make an effective contribution to the future sustainability of the area. We are now embarking on the community re-engagement stage of the development and we would welcome the views and suggestions of local people and organisations as to how would you like to use this wonderful resource at the heart of your community.
We would be very grateful if you could spare the time to fill out this short 'Field survey' indicating what kind of involvement you would be interested in.
