Located in the Heath in Cardiff students learn hand made card production and packaging skills

The training in the card project provides places for students of widely differing abilities. It is an ideal project for delivering the Vision 21 soft skills development programme. In addition to developing card making skills the training focuses on developing confidence, communication skills, self care and presentation, working as part of a team, motivation, timekeeping, behaviour and reliability amongst others.
Following satisfactory completion of the referral process the student will undergo an induction to Vision 21 after which a ‘taster’ day will be offered to see whether the opportunity suits them. If this goes well students can attend the Card Project for one or two days per week, occasionally more if appropriate, for an agreed time scale which will be reviewed regularly.
For more information on our referral process please see our referral page.
Students in the Card Project receive a health and safety induction including, manual handling, Risk Assessment and fire safety awareness. Students can also be referred to our TAM project for additional life skills, employment and independent living guidance as appropriate.
All of our cards are hand made by the students using simple processes of folding, centring, sticking, and packaging. Below is a selection of our hand made cards for sale which can be purchased through the Vision 21 Gift Shop
Mor information will shortly follow on our new Creative Choice options, some of which can be seen in the recent 2009 TAM training prospectus
